      As the song says, 'it's the most wonderful time of the year!' and there are lots of family-oriented events all over Central New York from now, into the New Year.

      ~Lights on the Lake Onondaga Lake Park drive-thru display, 5 - 10pm nightly including Christmas & New Year's. Starts Nov. 21 until Jan 12 Discount tickets until Wed. Nov 20 at Wegmans. Check the event website for admission prices.

      ~Erie Canal Gingerbread Gallery Syracuse, 318 Erie Boulevard East 40+ displays crafted by Central New Yorkers Nov 22 - January 5 (Mon-Sat 10-5, Sun 10-3, Christmas & New Year's Day 2pm closing, closed Dec 25 & January 1) Museum website has admission prices, workshops and special events

      ~Dickens' Christmas in Skaneateles Village-wide, 40+ characters bring back Victorian celebrations. Saturday & Sunday noon - 4, Nov 29-Dec 22 and Christmas Eve. Free to watch. The Skaneateles website has details
