A 12 year-old girl looking for her dog got lost in the woods behind her home for several hours Wednesday night.
The Oneida County Sheriff's department said the girl's dog got loose in Annsville and she went looking for him, but ended up lost in the woods. Deputies teamed with the a New York State Forest Ranger and an Environmental Conservation Officer to conduct a woodland search for her.
Deputies located the girl using a K9 dog search. She was treated on the scene by Taberg Fire and EMS personnel. She was then taken to a local hospital where she was treated and released.
