      Adrian Infante

16 people were arrested in Auburn early Sunday morning for various offenses after nearly 200 people left the bars around State and Perrine Streets.

Auburn Police have established what they refer to as a â??walking beatâ?? in the area due to resident complaints and criminal activity at the time the bars close.

When police on this â??walking beatâ?? saw the large group of people in the 1 block area, they asked them to disperse and clear the area. Several people refused to comply with the officersâ?? orders, which led to the 16 arrests.
