16-year-old arrested for DWI under Leandraâ??s Law

A 16-year-old was arrested by the Chenango County Sheriffâ??s Office for DWI under Leandraâ??s Law in the Town of Plymouth.

According to the Chenango County Sheriffâ??s Office, deputies were conducting a road safety check in the Town of Oxford when a 16-year-old male from the Town of Plymouth drove through the road check.

Deputies say the teen had a 3-year-old in the car that was not in the proper child restraint seat.

After further investigation, deputies say they arrested the teen for multiple charges including DWI under Leandraâ??s Law and endangering the welfare of a child.

The Teen was arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $100.00 cash bail.
