16-year-old in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by car in Geddes

Sun, 09 Mar 2014 03:41:02 GMT — Onondaga County Sheriffs are investigating a car/pedestrian accident that sent a 16-year-old girl from Hannibal to the hospital with serious injures. At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, the sheriff's office responded to the accident at the intersection of West Genesee Street and South Terry Road in the Town of Geddes. Officials say 16-year-old Maja Files was trying to cross West Genesee Street against the green light when she walked into the path of another car. Files was discovered in the roadway, semi-unconscious. She was rushed to Upstate University Hospital with a head injury. She remains in serious but stable condition. Neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
