2 overnight stabbings under investigation in Syracuse

Two men with stab wounds walked into Upstate overnight, and police are investigating two separate incidents with not much cooperation from either one

Syracuse Police are investigating two Saturday night-Sunday morning stabbings, and not geting much help from either victim.

They learned of the first when 32 year old Delvin Wilkerson showed up at Upstate University Hospital with multiple stab wounds. He'd beInvestigators think the incident happened about 11:05 Saturday night, in the 100 block of Monticello Drive South (near East Seneca Turnpike and Route 81).

Wilkerson's injuries are serious but not life-threatening, and police say he was uncooperative and refused to provide Detectives with any suspect information.

The victim in the second stabbing also walked into Upstate University Hospital. Jaquan Hines, 25, had a large slice to his left palm, and told officers it happened during a domestic dispute. Police tell us the stabbing happened at 3:43am at 308 Renwick Ave (east of 81 near SU), but Hines then told police he did not know who did it, and no other occupants could help. Police also say there are no other victims or evidence of a stabbing at 308 Renwick.

In both cases, Syracuse Police are asking for the public's help in their investigations. Calls to 442-5222 will be kept in confidence.
