2 SU Lacrosse Players Arrested in Lake Placid

      Orange freshman Eric DeJohn

It's been a rough couple of weeks for the SU football program with a number of arrests and injuries, but now that trouble seems to be creeping into Orange lacrosse program.

Lake Placid Police say on Sunday, Orange lacrosse players Eric DeJohn and Logan Tousaw went inside multiple vehicles, stole property, and then damaged windows and rear view mirrors in a residential neighborhood.

DeJohn is a former Jamesville-DeWitt lacrosse star and is entering his freshman year at Syracuse. Tousaw played at Corcoran and is a sophomore defender.

The two are facing charges of 3rd degree criminal mischief, attempted petit larceny and property damage.

DeJohn and Tousaw were arraigned in the Town of North Elba court and released on $1,000 bail.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.

Orange Lacrosse Head Coach John Desko released this statement:

"We are aware of the situation and will continue to handle the matter internally."

Tousaw is still listed on the team roster. DeJohn, along with the rest of the freshman class, has not been added to the roster yet.
