22-year-old Michael Kriesel of Manlius died in a car crash in Florida on Sunday.
According to the Jacksonville Florida Times Union, Kriesel's car went off Interstate 95 and slammed into the concrete base of an overhead sign.
F amily friends told The Post-Standard that Kriesel was on his way back to college at the time of the crash. He was a student at the Santa Fe College in Gainesville. Kriesel graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in 2008.
Investigators say that Kriesel was wearing his seat belt and the investigation is ongoing.
Calling hours for Kriesel will be held on Thursday from 3-7 PM at Immaculate Conception Parish in Fayetteville.
