If youâ??re looking for a unique gift or just for something fun to do, you may want to take a trip to Bouckville, in Madison County, and check out this yearâ??s Antique Week.
This is the 43rd year for the event, which is the second largest antique show in the Northeast. More than 50,000 people are expected to attend this year.
John Mancino, President of Madison Bouckville Promotions, says antiques are becoming increasingly popular with a new generation of collectors.
"The baby boomers remember the stuff they grew up with and that is really the stuff that is kind of hot right now. That is what people are searching out. Of course there is always quality furniture, you can't go to one of the big box stores and buy a piece of furniture that is going to last 50 to 100 years and there is a lot of that here," he says.
Madison-Bouckville Antique Week runs through Sunday from 9-5. Admission is free.
