69-year-old driver cuts off 17-year old, causes rollover crash

A 17-year old man was taken to the hospital after a roll over accident in Liverpool as another car driven by a 69-year-old woman cut him off.

The 17-year old was driving a Red Grand Am and was trying to make a left on Route 57 in Liverpool into Seneca Mall when he swerved to avoid the other car, around 5 pm Monday.

The Grand Am then hit an embankment, a guard rail, and two other cars before coming to a rest upside down on it's roof. A parked Jeep Grand Cherokee and a pickup truck were hit, but no one was inside and no one else was hurt.

A helicopter was first called to the scene as a precaution but the driver of the flipped Grand Am was transported by ambulance to Upstate Hospital with minor lacerations.

The 69-year old women was issued a ticket for failing to yield the right away.
