A Capella performance at Syracuse University benefits the homeless

Fri, 15 Feb 2013 15:50:55 GMT — Listen to great music and help the homeless population in Syracuse at the same time this weekend.The 7th Annual "A Capella for the Fellas" will be held this Saturday, February 16, at Hendricks Chapel at Syracuse University. The show starts at 7pm.One of the groups featured is No Xcuse, an a cappella group comprised of area residents who perform a variety of songs from the 1960s up through today.'We are excited to be hosting it," said Rich Lickfield, a member of NoXcuse. "This is the 7th annual event and we are happy we could give quite a few tickets to the homeless so they can come and enjoy the show."Syracuse University a cappella group Orange Appeal, SUNY Binghamton a cappella group Binghamton Crosbyâ??s, and Geneva based quartet Geneva Convention will also perform.Money raised will benefit the Housing and Homeless Coalition of Syracuse and Onondaga County.Tickets are $20 at the door, $15 in advance and $10 for students and seniors.To get tickets call: 315-478-9710.
