Syracuse Police were called to assist S.U. Public Safety to the Schine Student Center on the Syracuse University campus after a large fight broke out at 1:40am on Sunday February 3rd.
Public Safety officers were trying to break up the fight that started as a dance at the student center was letting out.
When police arrived, they said there were hundreds of students filing out of Schine, and that fights and other disturbances were happening outside.
Officers were resisted as they tried to disperse the crowd. Officers arrested 9 students on a variety of charges, including disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Police are still investigating what caused the brawl.
The following students were arrested:
Daniel E. Bolven, age 21, Michelle Desa, age 20, Alray K Cromer,age 21, Onome Agbaza, age 20, Nahum Ducasse, age 21, Andre Sadler, age 21, Lawrence Jackson, age21, Osarumwense Pat-Osagie, age 21, and Grant Mayes, age 21.
All are being held in the Onondaga County Justice Center pending the investigation and arraignment in Syracuse Court.
