Accident in Town of Vernon leads to DWI arrest

The Oneida County Sheriffâ??s Office has charged 40-year-old Lisa M. Winzalevitch, of the City of Oneida, with driving while intoxicated after they say she crashed into a guard rail in the Town of Vernon.
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, deputies responded to Peterboro Street near the intersection of Arquint Road in Vernon because of a personal injury accident. When they arrived at the scene, deputies say that they found Winzalevitch suffering from minor injuries after crashing her 1999 Subaru into a guard rail.
Winzalevitch was sent by ambulance to Oneida City Hospital for evaluation.
After she was discharged from the hospital, Winzalevitch was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep left and failure to reduce speed at a curve.
Winzalevitch was arraigned in the Village of Vernon Court and was sent to the Oneida County jail . She is due back in the Town of Vernon Court later this month.
