There will be no spraying for mosquitoes in Onondaga County Tuesday night. At the last minute, the Health Department postponed the spraying because of high winds.
The spraying has not been officially rescheduled. A Health Department spokesperson says the situation is "day to day." The Health Department was going to spray for mosquitoes in the Cicero Swamp area between 7pm and 9pm tonight. An adult in Onondaga County was recently diagnosed with Eastern Equine Encephalitis, or EEE. The dangerous disease is transmitted through mosquitoes.
