After struggle, police arrest man with handgun on Midland Avenue
26-year-old NaKing Grady of 1 Candlelight Lane in Liverpool is now in custody after police responded to a complaint of a suspicious man with a gun walking near the 1400 block of Midland Avenue just before 2am on April 27.
Police say Grady was carrying a semi-automatic handgun with the serial number filed off. When asked to drop it he refused and started a struggle with a police officer. Officers over-took Grady and took him into custody.
Grady was uncooperative and continued to be violent after the arrest, causing some damage to the police car, police say.
Officers charged Grady with 2 counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal mischief, harassment, resisting arrest, and was ticketed for not using the sidewalk.
