Annsville man passes away from injuries sustained in fire at his home

The man who was injured in a fire at his home in Annsville has died from his injuries, according to the Oneida County Sheriffâ??s Office.
53-year-old Michael Zavaro was overcome by smoke and flames after a fire broke out at his home on Glenmore Road just after midnight on June 30.
Deputies were called to the home for a domestic dispute, but when they arrived, the home was engulfed in flames.
Zavaro did not make it out of the home before being overcome by smoke and flames. First responders pulled him out and he was taken to Rome Memorial, and then airlifted to Upstate, where he later died from his injuries.
Deputies are still investigating the incident, and no cause has been released for the fire.
