One of the â??violent and dangerousâ?? suspects Syracuse Police were searching for has been found, thanks to a citizen tip.
Syracuse Police arrested 22-year-old Alex â??Gordoâ?? Rosario at about 9:40 am Friday after a citizen saw his picture on the news and called them, giving them a location.
Police acted on the tip and found Rosario at 723 West Onondaga Avenue, Apartment 207 in bed. He was taken into custody without incident, police say.
Rosario was wanted on a second degree murder charge for the killing of Juan Martinez and the shooting of a second victim that happened in front of 109 Kellogg Street on August 1.
A police spokesman says, â??This arrest is a great example of the combined cooperation of the Police, the Media and concerned citizens who are willing to get involved to assist the police by providing information that has led to the apprehension of a dangerous and armed criminal.â??
