A Watertown man was taken to the hospital after he was found armed with a weapon and screaming from his rooftop around 6:00am Thursday morning.
State Police in Watertown say they responded to a residence on State Route 8 in the Town of Bridgewater where they found a man with a shotgun yelling from a rooftop.
Police say the 54-year-old man was high on bath salts and acting irrationally.
When police arrived, they say the man was on his roof and armed with a shotgun. He was yelling at people to get out of his yard, but police say there were no people in his yard.
Police say they were able to talk the man into coming down from the roof.
The man admitted to police that he had used bath salts. The shotgun he was holding was not loaded.
He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital in Utica for a mental health evaluation. No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
This is only the latest incident involving bath salts in Central New York. Earlier this week, a Utica man was arrested after
trying to storm through
a womanâ??s door and an
Oneida County man who
was covered in his own blood attacked his neighbor.
Last week, a
Munnsville woman went on a
naked and violent rampage attacking her child while high on bath salts.
