Armory Square road works begins after February flood

The City of Syracuse began road reconstruction in Armory Square Monday after a major water main break back in February.

The water main break caused streets in the area to flood and numerous businesses to close temporarily, but damaged the roadway.

Franklin Street between Walton and Fayette Streets are now for the next week. Parking will not be permitted on that stretch of Franklin during construction.

Then on Monday May 27, there will be no parking on the west curb of Franklin Street for the next week.

The project is expected to be completed by June 3.
