Attempted robbery at Chase Bank on James Street

Syracuse Police say they are investigating an attempted bank robbery at the Chase Bank on James Street near Lodi Street.

Police say the suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a threatening note demanding money. The teller refused to hand over money and the suspect left the bank.

Police say the suspect is described as a black male. He was last seen running out of the bank towards Catherine Street.

It is unknown if this is related to any other recent bank robberies, police say.

There were no injuries during the attempted robbery.
