Auburn police are hoping surveillance pictures will help them catch the person who robbed the Jrecks Sub shop on Genesee Street.

It happened around 9:19 p.m. Thursday at the sub shop at 251 Genesee Street. Police say an employee told them she was closing the store for the night when a man walked in through an unlocked back door. She says the man forced her to give him all the money, then shoved her and punched her in the face. He took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as being approximately 5'8" tall, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, which was pulled up over his head, a dark colored bandana, covering the lower part of his face, and dark colored pants.

Officers hope store surveillance pictures will help catch the criminal. Police say the time depicted in the photographs is not accurate.
