Auburn's Majorpalooza set for Sunday
Auburn's big springtime party, the Majorpalooza, starts with a 5K race and continues with activities into the evening.
Chris Major, who founded the event 21 years ago, says extra precautions are being taken to help the 400+ runners race through the heat, with water and misting stations along the route.
After the run, it's a day of children's activities, and a day and evening of live music, entertainment and food for all ages.
A couple years ago, the event was moved from an Auburn park to the downtown area, and Major says that's increased participation and the number of activities.
Profits, says Major, are put back into the community, to programs aimed at improving the quality of life for children.
