Authorities searching for suspects in two Tompkins County home invasion robberies

Two home invasion armed robberies in Tompkins County have sheriffâ??s deputies searching for the suspects.

The first happened at about 10:00 pm on Tuesday at a home on Livermore Road in the Town of Dryden. The victims told investigators that two black men forced their way into the home and pistol-whipped one of the victims. They then reportedly stole more than $1,000 in cash and left in a pickup truck. The victim who was hit with the gun had minor injuries, according to deputies.

The second incident happened at about 11:20 pm at a home on Lockerby Hill Road in the Town of Lansing. The victims told deputies that two black men with handguns broke into their home and stole money. The victims described the suspects as wearing black jeans, black sweatshirts, black gloves and black ski masks, and that both had handguns. One of the suspects is described as being 6â?? 4â?? tall, stocky build and the other 5â?? 6â?? tall with a skinny build.
