Autopsy says SUNY Brockport senior died from multiple injuries after snowboarding accident

Investigators have released new information about the deadly snowboarding accident at Whiteface Mountain that killed SUNY Brockport senior Austin White.

An autopsy, conducted Monday at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, reveals the 22-year-old died as a result of multiple traumatic injuries consistent with the accident.

It was Sunday afternoon when White ran off the Excelsior Trail and into a wooded area where he hit a tree.

White was scheduled to graduate this May. He was from Hemlock in Livingston County, and was studying exercise science at SUNY Brockport.

White was on spring break, visiting the Adirondacks with his girlfriend and a group of friends when the accident occurred.
