A dream has come true for one little girl battling cancer.
Hally Krolik learned Wednesday night she's going on a trip to Walt Disney World with her family.
Hally is battling Wilms' Tumor, a type of rare kidney cancer that occurs in children. The 7-year-old was diagnosed in March and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Golisano Children's Hospital.
Hally's wish was to visit the Magic Kingdom, since she had never been there before. The surprise was granted by the Make-a-Wish Foundation and M&T Bank. Hally is most excited to meet Jasmine, her favorite Disney princess.
This trip to Disney is something the whole family can look forward to after going through such a difficult time.
"The situation obviously you never want, but if you have to go through it, I guess Disney is a good light at the end of the tunnel," Hally's mom Monica Krolik said at the surprise wish granting Wednesday. "We're doing the trip after her treatments are over so everything should be a big celebration."
On Saturday, October 19, there will be a benefit for Hally at the Timber Tavern in Baldwinsville from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event is to raise money to help pay for some of Hally's healthcare costs.
