Baldwinsville man accused of sexual contact with child under the age of 11
A Baldwinsville man has been accused of having sexual contact with a child less than 11 years old in 2016, according to New York State Police.
Richard F. Curtis, 18, was arrested and charged with a Criminal Sexual Act in the first degree, State Police said.
He was arraigned in the town of Lysander Court and sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
Curtis was charged in November with three counts of Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child, and one count of Promoting the Sexual Performance of a Child, according to New York State Police.
Curtis had been a member of the Moyers Corners Fire Department since July 2016, and was suspended following the allegations in November, according to Moyers Corners Fire Chief Frank Crispin.
His arrest resulted from a joint investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which consists of The New York State Police, U.S. Marshalls Service, and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations Division.
