Baldwinsville Schools look to switch to full day kindergarten

The last Central New York school district with half day kindergarten is now looking to switch to full day.

The Baldwinsville Central School District hopes to include full day kindergarten in its 2014-2015 budget. Superintendent Jeanne Dangle announced the plans at its Board of Education meeting last night.

The proposed budget includes resources needed for a full day program. The district will start registering students for full day kindergarten on March 25 from 6-7:30pm and on March 26 from 1-3pm at the elementary schools.

If you have a child eligible for kindergarten and do not receive a registration packet by March 15, you should call the district registrar at (315) 635-4569 or (315) 638-6050 to request a packet be mailed; or you can pick up a packet as a "walk-in" at the school your child will attend in the fall during the registration hours listed above.
