      Barenaked Ladies to play State Fair's Chevy Court on opening night

      The Barenaked Ladies are coming to the New York State Fair this summer.

      The Toronto-based rock band, known for hits like ??One Week??, ??Brian Wilson??, and the theme to ??The Big Bang Theory??, will play Chevy Court on opening day of this year??s fair. The show is scheduled for Thursday, August 21 and will begin at 8:00 p.m.

      "Barenaked Ladies brings fun to music and it will make for a fun way to open the New York State Fair. It's the beginning of a stellar lineup of music on all of our stages and I want to encourage every New Yorker to make time to visit the state's largest free music festival at your State Fair this year," said Troy Waffner, Acting State Fair Director.

      No word on whether former BNL singer Steven Page, who has a home in the Syracuse area, will make a guest appearance with his old bandmates.
