Algae blooms on Oneida Lake have prompted the Oswego County Health department to close the David Webb Memorial Park Bathing Beach due to health concerns.
The beach in Constantia will remain will remain closed due to blue-green algae until the health department says it can reopen.
Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang says, "People and animals should not swim at the bathing beach and should stay out of the water to avoid contact with any algae blooms, scums, and colored water."
They say you shouldn't swim, wade, or fish near the blooms and that you should rise your hands if exposed to the water.
