Beezie Madden wins Equestrian World Cup
Cazenovia equestrian Beezie Madden won gold in two Olympics, but on Sunday she was the winner in something just as prestigious in the show jumping world: the Rolex FEI World Cup.
Madden won the first competition on Thursday in the event, held this year in Gothenburg, Sweden (the picture of her and Simon is from then). Friday, she slipped to second place, but on Sunday morning she came back to first in the first round of jumping, and no one could catch her.
Beezie has been riding Simon since the end of 2011. He was her #2 for the London Olympics. The 14 year old Dutch Warmblood gelding is owned by Mrs. Abigail Wexner, and trained by John Madden Sales in Nelson.
