Benefit concert planned for Taylor Fleming

Students at Cicero-North Syracuse High School are organizing a benefit concert in memory of crash victim Taylor Fleming.

Fleming, a senior at C-NS, died last month after suffering serious injuries in a car crash.

Now, students in the band "Weekend Crush" have put together a 10-band concert at Westcott Theater in Syracuse -- headlined by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

All the money will go to the Fleming family.

"We just feel really bad about what happened to Taylor and we really wanted to do something for her," said C-NS senior Craig Hart, a band member.

The effort is being spearheaded by C-NS student Gannon Andrews, who credits his mother with coming up with the idea.

"I wasn't sure if everyone was going to be crazy about it at first, but it seems like it's really taking off -- everyone seems to like the idea," Andrews said.

"We've been having people message us saying, 'how can I help, where can I buy tickets, where can I donate?' It's been great," said C-NS senior Greg Terrill.

Tickets are $10 and are available online at

You can also buy them at the door, or buy them at C-NS.

If you're buying them at school, find one of the following students: Gannon Andrews, Craig Hart, Dustin Dean, Greg Terrill or Tyler Mahar.
