A bicyclist injured his leg after colliding with a police car at a red light Saturday night.
Police say Officer Scott Boles was driving north on Lodi Street in a marked police cruiser when he stopped at a red light. Police say he pulled up alongside another vehicle also stopped at the red light at the intersection of Lodi Street and Burnet Avenue.
According to the police report, Officer Boles had stopped his car a little ahead of the other vehicle. That's when a bicyclist heading east on Burnet Avenue hit the front bumper of the police cruiser.
Police identified the bicyclist as 37 year old John Lacey of Syracuse. Lacey was taken to Upstate Hospital after complaining of leg pain.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
