Blues Traveler to headline Taste of Syracuse June 6 & 7

Central New Yorkers look forward to it every year -- the pairing of fabulous food, and free, live musical entertainment.

The Taste of Syracuse Festival is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, June 6 and 7 in and around Clinton Square.

90's Blues-Rock band, Blues Traveler, will headline the festival -- closing out Saturday night with their familiar hits, "Runaround" and "Hook."

They are slated to take the stage from 9 to 11 p.m. June 7, with award-winning blues artist, Carolyn Wonderland performing just before.

The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, and picks right back up Saturday morning from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

If you've never been, here's how the tasting part works:

Some of the Central New York's most well known restaurants set up booths around Clinton Square, serving up $1 samples of your favorite treats, and unique new menu items as well.

Last year, 175,000 people walked around the heart of Syracuse, looking to fill hungry stomachs.

There are three stages, packed with local and regional musical talent all weekend including Under the Gun, Driftwood, Sophistafunk, Primetime and Scars & Stripes.
