Body Found in Lake Delta believed to be missing Camden man

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office believes to have found the remains of the missing Camden man that went missing on Lake Delta on Memorial Day.

Early Sunday morning, Marine Patrol found the body, with divers, criminal investigators and forensic investigators responding to the scene. The body was transported to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office and will undergo an autopsy.

Deputies say the body is believed to be that of William Cook, the 32-year-old Camden man that went missing on Lake Delta after trying to rescue a teenager that seemed to have trouble swimming. Investigators called off the search for Cook earlier this month.
