Syracuse Police are investigating the discovery of a body found in a driveway off Carbon Street. Police believe it to be the body of a Syracuse woman who has been missing since Friday night.
At 9 a.m. on Sunday, a resident at 221 Carbon Street reported a woman's body lying in the driveway.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene when police arrived.
According to police, the woman's appearance and clothing match that of 71 year-old Madama Pascasie who was first reported missing on Friday night from her home on Ash Street.
The body was found four and a half blocks away from where Pascasie was last seen.
The body has been taken to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's office to be identified. Police say they do not believe there was any suspicious activity surrounding the death. An autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.
