Body of pit bull found in garbage bag across from Syracuse school

The Cuse Pit Crew tells CNY Central a dead pit bull was found in a garbage bag on Onondaga Creek Boulevard in Syracuse on Wednesday morning.

The dog's body was found by Syracuse City park workers across the street from Southside Academy Charter School.

Pictures show the dog was severely neglected and abused before her death. CNY Central was sent those pictures but has chosen not to post them due to their graphic nature.

The dog, named Faith by the Cuse Pit Crew, was a young female, blue brindle pit bull with cropped ears and teeth that had been filed down.

The Cuse Pit Crew is asking for the public's help in finding the dog's owner and for any other information about her. The Syracuse Police department is investigating and asks anyone with information call 442-5200.

The Cuse Pit Crew works closely with the Syracuse City Animal Control Department as well as the Syracuse Police Department to advocate for abused and neglected dogs in our community.
