      Bookkeeper accused of stealing more than $163,000 for personal use

      The bookkeeper at the South Seneca Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps is under arrest, charged with stealing $163,849.69 for personal use.

      Angel Lawrence, 49, of Willard, NY, is charged with grand larceny, forgery and falsifying business records.

      Investigators say Lawrence was the bookkeeper between 2012 and June 2014.

      She was arraigned in the Town of Fayette Court on Friday and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. Lawrence is scheduled to reappear in court on July 29 to answer to the charges.
