Miguel Russo admitted today he was a member of the Bricktown Gang.
The 23-year-old pleaded guilty to an indictment that charged him and 13 others with conspiring to exploit their membership in the Bricktown Gang to engage in violent acts such as murder, drug trafficking and robbery. Russo admitted that the Bricktown Gang has operated in the City of Syracuse since at least 2000 and that members conspired to sell crack cocaine, cocaine and marijuana, and using violence to protect their turf.
Russo also admitted to possessing a handgun in connection with a shooting in Syracuse and sold crack cocaine to a cooperating informant at least three times.
Eight of the others charged have already pled guilty.
