'Bucket List' items to be crossed off this week by Utica teen with life threatening illness

The emails keep coming, and the offers of help have been very generous.

Mike Kelly, 18, of Utica is now back home after a three week stay at Golisano Children's Hospital. On Tuesday he says he'll be the guest of the owner of Pin-O-Rama Lanes in Utica. Going bowling is one of the more than 200 items on his 'Bucket List.'

On Wednesday, he'll be a guest at the Utica Zoo which, along with the Rosamond Gifford Zoo is among several agencies that reached out upon seeing Michael's story last week.

Michael has cystic fibrosis, a serious lung disease that is almost certain to cut his life short. He is still wading through more than 200 emails that came in after the 'Bucket List' story first aired. He has been overwhelmed by the support and the offers which have come in from all over the country.

Several sky-diving companies have reached out, and Michael is still working with his doctors to see if that is something he'll be able to do. Ghost hunting groups have also reached out and Michael is excited to follow up with them.
