Buffalo Bills remove website report about Doug Marrone having cancer

Former Syracuse head football coach and current Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone issued a statement Tuesday evening about a cancerous mole after the Buffalo Bills website removed a post stating the coach had cancer.

WKBW reporter Jeff Russo in Buffalo says Coach Marrone stated, "The recent extraction procedure will have no effect on my ability to coach the team moving forward." A cancerous mole was found on Marrone's skin during a recent doctor's visit and removed.

The controversial post on the Buffalo Bills' website was taken down Tuesday evening. The post, which was an apparently incomplete report read in part : "Head Coach Doug Marrone announced today that he was diagnosed with BLANK TYPE OF CANCER, and that it is highly treatable." The report ends in "QUOTE FROM MARRONE.
