Buffalo native among those killed in Virginia balloon accident

Buffalo native Natalie Lewis was one of the three victims in Friday's hot air balloon crash near Richmond, Virginia, according to The Buffalo News.

The newspaper reports Lewis was an accomplished swimmer, and graduated from Buffalo's Nardin Academy.

Lewis then went on to the University of Richmond, where she worked for the women's basketball team after graduating in 2011.

The body of the third victim in the balloon crash was discovered Sunday morning around 11 a.m. The balloon caught fire after hitting powerlines on Friday night near Richmond, Virginia.
