Burglary charge may not tell the whole story in Sullivan incident

Lyman Harris, from Keene, is charged with burglary. Troopers say a woman complained he broke into her home, tied her up and threatened to kill her

An Essex County man is charged with burglary, after what State Police describe as a bizarre incident involving death threats.

Troopers arrested Lyman Harris, from Keene (near Lake Placid) after a May 15th incident in the Town of Sullivan (Chittenango area).

A woman complained that Harris forced his way into her home, tied her up in the basement, and threatened to kill her and himself. Troopers report that Harris gave the woman the option of drinking antifreeze or having him shoot her.

Harris is being held at the Madison County jail on $250-thousand dollars bail ($500-thousand bail bond).
