      C-NS field hockey booster facing federal child porn charges

      The former president of the C-NS field hockey booster club is now facing federal child pornography charges.

      The U. S. Attorney's Office says a federal criminal complaint was filed today against 47-year-old Michael Dolson, of North Syracuse. Prosecutors say he knowing sent child porn to an undercover officer, along with receiving and possessing child porn.

      Dolson appeared in federal court for the first time today. He is behing held until a detention hearing scheduled for Monday, January 24th.

      If convicted of these federal charges, Dolson could face five to 20 years in prison, fines up to $250,000, and he would have to register as a sex offender.

      In October, Dolson pleaded not guilty to similar charges in North Syracuse Village Court.

      Dolson served as the president of the C-NS field hockey booster club, but he was not employed by the North Syracuse Central School District.
