Oswego County investigators say a 17 year old has died after an early Saturday morning boating accident on Kasoag Lake, in Williamstown.

They're now investigating why three people were on the two-man paddleboat that overturned.

Nicholas Curtis Bastable, from Meagher Wells Road in Camden, was recovered from the lake just before 4am. The call for the possible drowning came in at 1:10 Saturday morning. The two other occupants of the boat swam to shore with no injury.

Thirteen agencies assisted in the rescue and recovery efforts, including the NY State Police, Onondaga County's Air One Helicopter, and the Williamstown, Sandy Creek, West Amboy, Parish, Mexico, Minetto, Cleveland, Constantia, West Monroe and Hastings Fire Departments, as well as Northern Oswego county (NOCA) Ambulance.

The Oswego County Sheriff's Office continues its investigation.
