Three weeks after a massive fire tore through the Camillus Country Club, it is officially back open for business.
The clubhouse and dozens of golf carts were destroyed in when they were engulfed in flames around 3 a.m. on July 2. The pro shop, restaurant, bar and locker rooms as well as more than 40 golf carts were destroyed. The club's owner estimated the damages would be well over $1 million.
The golf course remained open in the days after the fire, and club officials set up a makeshift clubhouse under tents.
The clubhouse has been a landmark in Camillus for decades.
No one was hurt, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
