Canfield & Tack Acquires Syracuse printing company Dellas

Canfield & Tack Commercial Printing & Fulfillment announced on Tuesday that it is acquiring Dellas Graphics, which is a leading printer in Syracuse.

Canfield & Tack, based in Rochester, is one of the region's largest general commercial printers and they say that the acquisition will help to expand it's reach and strengthen it's presence in Central New York.

"This is an exciting opportunity for both companies," Canfield & Tack Chairman Ray Brown said a media release. "More than a third of our business already comes from outside Rochester including a significant amount in New York City and the Tri-state area, so the acquisition will expand our reach and bring sales and support services closer to our customers."

Thomas J. Dellas, President of Dellas Graphics, purchased the company in 1979. He built it from seven employees to more than 30 and grew sales from $150,000 to almost $5 million. He will join Canfield & Tack's management team and serve as Central New York Regional Director of Business Development and Acquisitions.

Founded in 1926, Canfield & Tack is one of the region's oldest continually operating printing companies. It is entirely employee owned and has a staff of 75. The acquisition will bring the total number of employees to more than 100. The company's annual revenue is more than $14 million , which means that the combined annual revenues of the new company will be more than $20 million.
