Car rolls over after rear-ending Byrne Dairy truck
A car going west on Route 690 flipped over on Sunday morning after hitting a Byrne Dairy tractor-trailer, Syracuse police said.
A 24-year old man driving a 2006 Hyundai sedan rear-ended the tractor-trailer, causing the car to rollover onto its roof. The driver of the Hyundai told police he didn't notice the truck and wasn't able to stop in time.
The tractor-trailer driver said he was having mechanical problems. The truck was driving in the right lane with its four-way flashes on, police said.
Police got to the accident just west of Thompson Road at about 9:50 a.m.
The driver of the Hyundai was taken to Upstate University Hospital as a precaution.
The Hyundai and tractor-trailer were both towed. No tickets have been issued.
