Syracuse Police are investigating a car crash that happened at about 12:25pm Sunday at the intersection of South Salina Street and East Calthrop Avenue.
Police say an SUV came off of Route 81 at Calthrop Avenue and drove through the red light at South Salina Street, hitting a Mercedes in the intersection.
The 38-year-old driver and his 40-year-old passenger both complained of head pain and were taken to Upstate as a precaution.
The driver of the SUV was uninjured, but was ticketed for passing a red light. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
