The operator of a Binghamton-area resort says it will partner with the operator of three Seneca Indian casinos if it lands one of the four new casinos to be built in upstate New York.
Johnson City-based Traditions at the Glen announces Thursday that it has reached an agreement with the Seneca Gaming Corp. to assist in operating the casino the company wants to build at its resort and conference center outside Binghamton.
Seneca Gaming operates Seneca-owned casinos in Niagara Falls, Buffalo and Salamanca.
The state will select with four sites for new casinos in three upstate regions: the Catskills and mid-Hudson River Valley, the Albany-Saratoga area and the Southern Tier-Finger Lakes region.
A panel appointed by the state's Gaming Commission is expected to pick the winning proposals this fall.
