Cazenovia mom remains in jail after heroin bust

Cazenovia mom Kristen Carno remains in jail after being arraigned in the City of Syracuse Court on Sunday morning.

Carno was charged with drug possession and endangering the welfare of a child, and was arraigned on $5,000 cash bond.

Onondaga County Sheriff's Deputiesfound Carno in her car on Saturday evening in the parking lot of Kelly's Mobile Gas Station on South Geddes Street.

Carno was unconscious, pressed against the steering wheel with a hypodermic needle in her arm. Inside the car were bags of heroin, as well as Carno's two young children, ages one and two.

Both children were unharmed, and are now in the care of relatives.
